EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is an emotional version of acupuncture without the needles. Tapping on certain meridian points on our body balances the natural energies in our bodies. EFT helps overcome self-limiting beliefs, fears, reduces stress, anger, doubt, boredom, guilt, cravings, pain and so much more. Founder Gary Craig says, “It often helps when nothing else works.” Since learning EFT in 2006, I have been truly amazed with the results I have had working with my clients.
I quite often will teach my client’s other EFT methods to give them some flexibility with tapping. One of my favorite EFT methods is called Tap and Breathe. To be honest, I am not sure who the creator of this wonderful technique is. Many of my clients will use this method because sometimes they just can’t find the right words to say. Tapping is flexible and easy to use. Simply tap at a comfortable pace with your own fingertip(s) using a comfortable amount of pressure. Tapping chart available at www.mindbodytapping.com
Here are the steps for the Tap and Breathe Method:
Begin tapping on the Karate Chop Point (KC) for about 10 seconds and then take a nice deep breath. Tap on your eyebrow point (EB) for about 5-10 seconds, and then breathe. Tap on the side of your eye (SE) for about 5-10 seconds, and then breathe. Tap below the eye (BE) for about 5-10 seconds, and then breathe. Tap under the nose (UN) for about 5-10 seconds, and then breathe. Tap in the middle of your chin (CH) for about 5-10 seconds, and then breathe. Tap under the collar bone (CB) for about 5-10 seconds, and then breathe. Tap about 4 inches under the arm pit (UA) for about 5-10 seconds, and then breathe. Tap on the top of the head (TH) for about 5-10 seconds, and then breathe.
Continue tapping until your issue is resolved or until you feel better.
