For anyone successful in losing weight, no matter which diet, drug or exercise regimen they used, keeping those pounds off is virtually impossible. It’s been estimated that nearly ninety five percent of the people who lose weight gain it back. Adding the Emotional Freedom Technique to your weight loss program can help you lose weight faster and more easily. If you are persistent, it can even help you keep the weight off.
You can use EFT for a number of weight loss-related reasons, the most obvious of which is to use it to reduce food cravings. Whenever you get the urge to eat something you know you shouldn’t, you simply tap on that urge. You don’t need to get analytical about it. You don’t need to know your food issues. Just do the EFT routine on your desire to overeat. Do it often enough and you will find you don’t even want that particular food anymore.
Because our eating habits are, just that, habits, you will find yourself eating without even thinking about it. You really won’t know how that cookie got in your mouth. To prevent those moments of unconscious eating, you need to tap in advance. You know what foods are in your cupboard and you know which ones you want to nibble (or gorge) on.
Use EFT on the urge to eat them before you are even in the kitchen. Do it while you are in bed. Do it in the shower. Do it when you are not even in the house. If you can tap while doing your grocery shopping, you might find yourself not buying candy and instead making healthier food choices. Dealing with the urge to overeat before you even feel it helps you to not feel it at all when you see food.
Treating your urges is just one of the possible ways to use tapping for weight loss. With diligence and patience, you can lose weight more easily with the Emotional Freedom Technique.
